Nick established his roots in the automotive industry when he was just 11 years old.  The young Mr. Sargent would network with exotic car dealerships in pursuit of his goal to sit in all of his dream luxury cars of the time. The consistent exposure within this facet of the industry gave Nick an exceptional understanding of the exotic car world by the tender age of 14.

Sitting in, absorbing and appreciating every detail of these captivating automobiles soon led Nick into exotic car photography. This allowed Nick to reproduce the beauty and perfection he observed within these machines and translate his vision to digital imagery. Dealerships appreciated the professionalism and photography skills displayed by someone so young and this would incentivise the dealerships to give Nick even more access to these luxury cars. By the age of 15, Nick had grown his photography brand, Exotic Aspect, to nearly 20,000 Instagram followers. This allowed for tremendous opportunities to network within all aspects of the car industry including other automotive influencers such as James Condon (thestradman), Damon Fryer (DDE), and Spencer Berke (thatphotographer) among others. This photography & social media experience would prove invaluable to Nick with his future business ventures.

At 16, Nick started his detailing business, Sargent’s Detail.  Although he details all makes and models of cars, Nick has a special concentration and expertise in the detailing of luxury and exotic cars. Nick trained intensely to excel at the detailing and care of these specialty, high end cars. He was the youngest person to go through Glossit University’s training program being referred to by the owner of Glossit, Rich Light, as their “Wonder Child”. Nick received Glossit’s Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating Certifications at the age of 17. As a result of this specialized training, Nick was one of the youngest invitees to the Special Equipment Market Association (SEMA) in 2019 and has been invited every year since. SEMA is the premier international trade show for both automotive manufacturers and automotive equipment manufacturers commencing in Las Vegas every year with participation being by invitation only within the automotive industry. Nick’s yearly involvement with SEMA afforded him extensive global networking opportunities.  This networking helped to significantly grow his businesses and clientele list which this year translated to an extremely successful experience at the Monterey Car Week 2022. His work at these specialized automotive events have been noticed by both exotic car manufacturers and owners alike being regularly requested to personally detail cars of the caliber of a $6M Pagani Huayra BC Roadster and Nick’s ultimate dream car, a $4M Koenigsegg Agera HH.

With Nick’s previously mentioned social media experience, he was able to expand the audience of his project cars, presently a highly specialized 2016 Scion FRS.  This car has a wide fan base on social media and serves as the primary marketing tool for Sargent’s Detail. As a result of the social media presence of the Scion and previously a 2020 Subaru STI, Nick has become extremely skilled in the art of sponsorship management, acquiring his first full ride sponsorship at the age of 18.

At the age of 11, Nick began seeking out the managers of local exotic car dealerships and asking for permission to sit in and experience their most expensive and specialized cars. He listened attentively as the managers described the features and capabilities of the cars he was interested in. However, Nick had already researched these cars extensively and was already familiar with their specifications. These early experiences sparked Nick's first automotive goal: to sit in and experience all of his dream cars before he was old enough to drive. He successfully achieved this goal and even exceeded it. At the age of 14, Nick was able to sit in a Hennessey Venom GT, the same car that set the production land speed record in 2013.

What Nick didn't realize at the time was that he was cultivating valuable networking skills through these experiences. He contacted general managers, initiated conversations about cars, and followed up with thank you notes and holiday cards, as well as occasional phone calls to check in on interesting developments in the car world. He built relationships with these managers and still maintains those connections to this day. Through this experience starting at 11, Nick developed and honed his networking skills.
